On May 31st, Engine 1712 was placed into service. Still some minor work to be done and waiting on vehicle graphics.
We would like to recognize probationary firefighter Bobby Mullins for winning the Chili cook off at the Annual Verona Jr/Sr Prom fund raiser and bring home the trophy for 1st place.
Tanker 1713 was recently placed into service. The truck was donated by Prente Excavating and painted by Pierce City High School Vo-Tech and the pump was donated by KIMEN IND.
Brush 1717 was also recently placed into service. The truck was donated by the Missouri Department of Conservation and painted by our maintenance man Rick. There is still more work to done, it has been a long slow process. Check out the picture tab for more....
The is our newest project. Engine 1712 has been donated by the Missouri Department of Conservation and is currently undergoing some work on the pump and has passed the pump certification. The truck in a 1990 KME Renegade. The truck has a 1000 gallon per minute pump, carries 600 gallon of water and 30 gallon of foam. There will be some slight modifications that will be made before the truck can be placed into service. This truck will replace a 1965 Engine that was donated by the Monett Rural Fire Protection Association a few years ago.
